Email sign-up

If you leave your email to hear about new pieces, we store your email address, the IP address the sign-up came from, and when you signed up. We use your email only to tell you when new pieces are ready.

Chat assistant

Messages you type into the chat are sent to Google's Gemini API, which writes the replies. We don't store chat messages on our server.

Google's terms for the free Gemini tier allow it to use these messages to improve its products, and say human reviewers may read them. Please don't type personal details into the chat, such as your address, phone number or anything private. Use WhatsApp or email for that.

To stop the chat and the sign-up form being abused, we record the IP address and time of each request. These records are deleted after about a day.

In your browser

A few things are kept only in your own browser and never sent to us:

• The current chat conversation, so it survives moving between pages. It's cleared when you close the tab.
• Which rounds you've ticked on the free pattern. Clear them with the "Clear all ticks" button on that page.

Services we use

• Vercel hosts the website.
• Neon hosts the database holding sign-up emails and the abuse-prevention records.
• Google Gemini writes the chat replies.

Links to WhatsApp, Instagram, YouTube and Google Maps take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.
